Over the last three years we’ve been fortunate to work with Dick Richardson from Grazing Naturally. We’re part of a group of eight local farmers who meet quarterly to discuss various aspects of grazing management and visit each other’s farms. Dick is the facilitator of this group and we’ve found it invaluable. The outcome has been us making some significant changes to our operation. The main one being the investment in a better watering system and also reducing our paddock size to better accommodate our smaller mobs. We met with Dick again today to look over our farm and make some grazing decisions. As a result, we’ve now been able to accurately estimate the grass on hand and make plans accordingly.
